You’re dense ole buddy gave a first down at the end of the game allowing the opposing team to run out the clock. Greenlaw was early in the game. Circumstances were dramatically different. Had Dre did that with 90 secs left reaction would be different.
Dre Greenlaw just did something stupid and was ejected from the game. Notice Kyle Shanahan didn’t go running up to him to cuss him out. I’m only pointing this out because there was a lot of discussion about Kalen DeBoer crashing out on Dijon Lee after his crucial mistake.
I don’t think what DeBoer did is a big deal but some of you were saying that this should be expected because college players are being paid. Can’t treat them as “kids” anymore.
Well if the comparison is the pros, NFL coaches don’t rip players publicly that often after big mistakes. Why? Because they know they’re dealing with grown men. They usually correct in private because you don’t want to publicly embarrass a player you’ve invested millions in. Part of being a coach is managing egos.
College players should certainly be expected to be criticized differently by the public and media now that they’re being paid. But if you think coaches will have the license to take off on players publicly now … well that ain’t exactly how it works, either.
Shame a PI not getting called is gonna make people ignore:
- Georgia converted a 3rd & 8 at their own 15.
- Ran for 206 yards without their top two backs
- Gunner going 18/22 for 249.
- A 96 yard drive.
- An opening 2nd half WALK N Talk like tud.
- 4 sacks and 6 TFLs
Losing to an 0-4 team starting an undrafted rookie in front of 92K of your fans at home in a primetime slot is so on brand for the cowboys. Just wait til Thanksgiving
