@livio_art@KingSavageAxe "After years of discounts" yes that is what nowadays means.
I generally consider a game's price to be best judged by key resalers. And currently G2A (I just checked) has wilds at just over 30 and world at about 9-12 depending on the seller.
@WhateverWh59201@livio_art@KingSavageAxe The overall community have had 7 & 4 years respectively to finish those, so the logic of "most finished wilds" holdd up even harder for games the overal community has had more time to finish.
And I mean in my case I've "finished" rise and am still running anomalies
@eternalpill0w@CaoSlayerGL To me somnacanth's always been a "rosterfiller" type monster. Like not offensively bad, but not a meaningful inclusion. Just kinda there.
I respect the taste tho.
@8Bitttting@DarkHeroCC "launch sales are exclusively a Judgement of a series previous entries NOT of the game itself."
This extends backwards world aswell.
@8Bitttting@DarkHeroCC Generallly all-time means "how many people bought it on launch" and launch sales are exclusively a Judgement of a series previous entries NOT of the game itself.
@BaboonSlayer122@DarkHeroCC Hey! Not all of us are world fans, some of us are just wilds haters!
Personally I think rise is a better game than world, but the fact worlds playercounts are matching wilds are kinda sad for the one that still costs AAA prices.
@DeddoNekku@ceIIowo@QuirklessStoner I honestly dont get the "overly arcadey" claims. Like- it's just genU with more QoL.
Other than spiribirds which are 5 minutes on nexus one time to never have to care about again.
@Beeg_Boy_@RANK10YGO Perhaps. I am also correct. That's how the community sees these games. Thats what people buy these games looking for. That's the audience who buy soulslikes.
@imSerrel@ceIIowo@QuirklessStoner Twitter posts are not long enough for my hatred of wilds. TLDR maps suck, wounding is terribly implemented, FUCK THE STORY, balance is all over the place, I find focus obtuse, and goddamn the endgame fights are bad.
@SimpKingKen@QuirklessStoner I would a million times prefer just having them talk over my hunt like how every other RPG does it. Instead of me picking up my phone because I'm not allowed to play for the next half an hour, just advance a few dialogue boxes in the middle.
@SimpKingKen@QuirklessStoner The track thing really isnt that bad. The first one is always at your camp and they lead you directly to the monster. You're *actually playing the game* during this segment, and it encourages exploration and learning the maps. Something wilds is DEATHLY afraid of letting you do.
