Not every pesticide is the same, because the safe ones can have entirely different chemical structures from the carcinogenic ones and still be pesticides

Dogs die if they eat chocolate, you can’t die of eating chocolate even in higher amounts. That argument ignores basic scientific concepts

@d64miller @Blunted3652 @GovWhitmer Right, because the frost happened 2 weeks later. In those two weeks between the spray and the frost, there were still advisories in place to keep people from staying outside and being exposed to carrier mosquitoes.

The state was issuing advisories to people to stay indoors before the spray because the risk of infection was so high, particularly in Kalamazoo county, and would have been upgraded to an epidemic had they not sprayed.

@d64miller @Blunted3652 @GovWhitmer Theres no immunity to encephalitis as it is an infection of the brain. It was alarming considering environmental factors, such as a normal frost, would kill the mosquitoes. The pesticides used by the state were non carcinogenic, they are the same ones approved for organic food.

At the end of the day, Snyder and the GOP forced the city’s hand in switching to the river water and didn’t use minimal emergency manager funds to treat the water with an anti corrosive agent that would’ve stopped this. They were negligent.

So why would a guy who ADMITTED to campaign finance fraud (corruption) deserve a pardon?
