Members of the AI Art Community do more harm to the community to knee-jerk AI haters.

Nobody takes any of them seriously.

But the one-way engagement farming, follow-hoarding, pulling strings from group chats and Discords are all real.

I started using Midjourney around a year ago with v7.

Midjourney's appeal to me has always had much to do with Omni Reference, and it became much more usable to me as I got the hang of how profiles worked.

v8 is much more squirrelly and unpredictable than I'd like, and the absence of the oref replacement that Dave talked about in the months preceding v8's launch doesn't feel good to me personally.

Dave has always come off to me as downplaying Niji 7 as a side project, but for me, I like it as a model quite a bit more than Midjourney v8.
