Real
They only did it bc "Muh mascot horror" meanwhile the story they wanted to tell and still are telling is far more horrifying than any monster could be.
lukewarm take but amanda the adventurer did not need demonic themes in it, the premise and imagery for the message theyre trying to deliver is enough. hameln didnt need to be a cult to present as something threatening. they shouldve just delved deeper into the exploitation themes
can you guys imagine amanda having to celebrate all her birthdays by herself. having to make the cake herself, getting her own gifts. and trying not try every year when she adds another candle to the cake, but never gets an inch taller. never feels a bit better. just. aged.

I doubt they ever will mainly bc they likely wouldn't want to risk facing backlash for writing that word into their script when they're white.
@TapeSleuth The tape turned on and Amanda appeared in a garden, watering a few plants. She seemed to be watering them in a particular order. A yellow plant was watered until it grew two inches, a red plant until three inches, and a purple plant until four inches. The tape then ended.
@TapeSleuth The flower became a daisy before disappearing just before the tape shut off. A flowerpot with a daisy in it appeared next to the TV. On the nearby table was a watering can and a tape.
@TapeSleuth Amanda shrugged. "Well, I didn't know what kind of flower you liked."
"There's all kinds of beautiful flowers in this world. For instance, I like this kind of flower." A forget-me-not appeared in the pot.
"What's your favorite kind of flower?"
