“The funded services provide vital support to birth mums and dads. The relational, compassionate support the organisations provide means birth parents feel safe, valued and cared for.” - Carolyn Sawers, Corra CEO
A wonderful, thoughtful start to the week at @UofGByresHub, talking about our work supporting children and families affected by drugs and alcohol. Excellent conversations with students and community members who joined us, thank you! Special thanks to Prof. Winston for supervising
Wonderful to hear @Karin_Goodwin speaking about the importance of stories in activism today.
Corra’s EHAS work (listening to voices and stories from children affected by alcohol/drugs) remains at the heart of so much of what we do https://t.co/U7jRwqxwQ8 🖋️

@margl43 @corrascot@children1st Thank you so much for joining us Mary 💜 so grateful to all the amazing parents for sharing their stories so bravely, and for incredible workers who support them with such love.
Standing on the shoulders of the beloved @PDI_Corra, this new fund has some really exciting plans for making sure Children and Young People are at the centre of decision making. Stay tuned for more… or give the Corra team a call if you’ve got an idea💡 💜 #relationships

So interesting to hear retrospectives of Glasgow’s health from 2003-23 at #GCPHSem20. Those 20 years are the same 20 I’ve live in the city (and just about the time I’ve worked in health/wellbeing 🤪😱). Fascinating to hear histories, hopes and hurdles that shape what we do next.
A very positive step. Well done to the campaigners who have patiently repeated (& repeated, & repeated!) why these evidence based interventions are critical to supporting folk whilst at their most vulnerable.
Keen to see how a gendered lens is incorporated into service design.
Scotland’s Lord Advocate will not prosecute users of a pilot drug consumption room in Glasgow, seen by campaigners as 'life saving'.

Having a mare trying to buy perfume online with my @BootsUK points. Turns out it’s bc my card is a relic from 1997 & caused tech issue as it’s so old.
The lovely helpline assistant tells me the card is OLDER THAN HER.
Off to the sheltered housing I go 👵🏽😅

Life Hack: @givebloodscot is right beside all the shops on Buchanan Street… so if you go, you get to do a really important thing *and* you get to lie down for half an hours rest in between running round the shops! #FestiveDonation 🩸 ❤️
Fun fact for @corrascot from my @SpeakGaelic class tonight… the Gaelic for heron is ‘corra’! And @corrascot was named after a Celtic goddess of knowledge who it is told, appears as… a heron sometimes!
Aren’t linguistic roots and transitions amazing!
