@nawislearning According to my hospital maintenance folk rooms should not go above 25 degrees because of medicine storage never mind our health. In weather like this patients temperatures often climb 0.5-1 degree. Hospital patients do not hydrate well enough and need additional fluids.
@noodles_nood I’m run down. I’ve had a cough for almost 8 weeks. Two courses of antibiotics one course of steroids. Negative Covid repeatedly. No viral swab done. No sputum sample sent. Would love to know what I have because I am knackered. If it was viral it should be gone by now!!
@noodles_nood Last Christmas I brought in nosecco and Buck’s Fizz for my Ward for staff & patients and did a drinks round with lunch and dinner service. When I tell you the joy on some of the patients faces and it cost me about £15 to do that. Such a simple small gesture.
@jabberwock951 From a nurses perspective, if you have deemed a patient MO/MFFD or whichever term you use for ready to go. That’s when you should prep TTO. If they’re waiting rehab that bed could be same day or next day and they have cut offs. Same for care package.
@gmcuk@DHSCgovuk Bore off. You know as well as the rest of us you should not be regulating these people as they aren’t doctors therefore out of your scope. You are muddying the water more for Joe Public than the PA/AA title does on its own.
@Dr_Done_ As a nurse I watched this episode (a show I usually love by the way) in despair that DVT/PE weren’t being looked at and that IV fluids were being given in overload. And I’m not even trained in the “medical model” or whatever bollocks PAs are trained in.
@KVangucci @KateBurkeNHS @MKHospital@RoyalFreeNHS lol wishful thinking. Only thing we get that cheap is chips. Want proper food it’s expensive even with staff discount!
@noodles_nood I mean. You may just have whatever non Covid thing I have? I’m on antibiotics for chest infection and feel like utter arse. That’s without vaccinations (I had them back in October). Honestly I haven’t felt this rough since my first Covid infection January 2021
@BevGreensitt @KVangucci @DrEilidhMaria I saw a doctor examine a baby and his lanyard fell completely in the open dirty nappy. They can come back around during aseptic procedures. Lanyards I a really understand some logic in!
@TTOTrainee My worry here is why would ANYONE see such an obvious break and not immediately refer on. ?? You may not know fully how to treat it but you call T&O and get them to look and plan the care! They’re NWB minimum ffs
@KVangucci @DrEilidhMaria Don’t. They can’t see the logic on opening an ipc door without gloves and apron to ask why they’re calling, go and get the thing then gown up turn off call bell and give it. Never mind the sink and bin are the other side of the room leaving you more exposed. It isn’t isolation…
