As per a viral post on social media, Soilamboi Vaiphei, a jawan of the Assam Regiment of the Indian Army, was reportedly seen involved in torching houses and attacking Meitei villages at Phougakchao Ikhai, Bishnupur district, Manipur, on May 3rd, 2023.

It is deeply concerning to consider that an army jawan could be involved in such violent acts. We urge the concerned authorities to thoroughly investigate this matter.
