Considering that the HTC Vive Pro 2 has been discontinued, are basestations and Vive 3.0 trackers going to be manufactured and sold still, or are they getting discontinued too?

Would be lovely for people that are looking into spare parts.

@gabriel99953361 @BigscreenVR Both would likely add some serious weight, one of the entire reasons the beyond exists to begin with.

I think the Play for Dream uses micro-oled panels from BOE (same panels than meganex) and it's still 650g because of the battery and standalone processor.

@whatdahopper That being said, I think BrokenEye is closed source for a reason too, to prevent Tobii from figuring out how it breaks their licensing structure.

@whatdahopper I think if you want someone to talk with that has experience with Tobii here, it would be best to get into touch with the BrokenEye developer.
Pimax Crystal and HP Reverb G2 Omni Tobii ET is pretty garbage without BrokenEye too, and it's definetly worth to explore that option.

EteeVR and Pimax Swords both also exist as Lighthouse controllers.

@EOZ_VR The Website specifically mentions "No private sales" on it as well. I would take UnboundXR by word here and assume it is aimed only at business customers.

@EOZ_VR The QPro seems to be a "Quest for business" version, just a heads up.
So you will need to opt into meta's subscription in order to use the headset, unless you take the no software version on the UnboundXR store, which increases price to ~1200€.

@BigscreenVR It's a shame because as someone that actually does not like the low brightness from pancake lenses, I did play with the thought of doing something similar with aspheric lenses

And then I remembered reality and noticed the fov would propably shrink a bit with those displays.. lol

I know you guys can't give any details about unreleased stuff, but is the square facial tracker for the Pro / Pro Eye / Pro 2 discontinued for good? Can owners of base station tracked headsets calm down a little or is it over with their face tracking addons?

Now with the square facial tracker gone (which at least added lower face tracking to the Pro series, including the Eye/Pro 2), we can only hope for a successor for either the HMD itself, or to the face tracker.
