PS5 users are finding unknown child accounts added to their PSN family lists without permission.

Several say it happened even with 2FA on. Some also got emails about sign-in ID or email changes they never made. A few describe the accounts as appearing from overseas.

Sony told Sankei Shimbun it is investigating. No broader statement yet. Reports go back to early October.

Child accounts can’t be removed as easily as adult ones under Sony’s rules, so cleanup is slower for affected users.

Capcom’s first-half results show a new IP and a long-dormant series both landing while the back catalog does the heavy lifting.

Pragmata, Capcom’s original sci-fi title, has sold 2.7 million copies. Onimusha: Way of the Sword, the first mainline entry in 20 years, has reached 1.7 million and pushed the series past 11 million total. Resident Evil Requiem is past 8 million.

Catalog sales hit 32.18 million units, up from 22.85 million a year earlier, and total units reached 36.86 million. Operating profit rose 54.5%.

New releases are still driving volume, but the bigger lift is coming from older games that keep selling once a fresh title draws people back in.

Blue Archive is moving its Japanese publishing from Yostar to Nexon in January 2027.

NEXON Games stays the developer. Nexon says the switch brings publishing under the same group that develops the game. Accounts, items, and Pyroxene carry over. The transfer page opens in November, with maintenance in January.

The game is being consolidated under its developer’s parent company rather than kept with a separate publisher.

Sony Network Communications says unauthorized access on October 19 exposed roughly 2.58 million member records from So-net and plala.

The leaked data covers names, phone numbers, emails, user IDs, birth dates, and gender. Bank account details were also taken in 16 cases, and email passwords for about 54,000 addresses were compromised. Credit cards were not affected. The company stopped the targeted server and blocked the source after confirming the breach on October 23.

Most of the risk sits in the personal data, not the bank details. That volume of names, emails, and phone numbers makes phishing and account recovery attacks the more immediate problem. Sony Network is contacting affected users while it investigates the cause. Services remain online.

Final Fantasy and Mana veterans Yoshinori Kitase, Hiromichi Tanaka, and Koichi Ishii say humans still have to start every game from nothing.

Kitase said “Humans need to be involved in the initial step of turning zero into one. That will never change.” AI and engines can take more of the later work so people spend time on the original idea instead.

Tanaka called it a competition of ideas. Ishii said faster prototyping is useful, but if AI does the whole job the result “might be polished, but… missing human warmth.”

Tools can compress the middle. They still need a person at both ends.

The Pokémon Company is ending service for Pokémon Unite on March 23, 2027, after dropping it from the World Championships in July.

The free-to-play MOBA goes offline at 00:00 UTC for both Switch and mobile. Switch launched July 21, 2021. Aeos gem sales stop today, remaining gems stay usable until the end, and new Unite Club memberships and renewals are halted.

A November 12 update adds a special event plus a Library feature so players who download the data beforehand can still view records after shutdown. No logins or battles after the date. The Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo tournament still proceeds as planned.

The company said it hopes players continue to enjoy the game “until the final day of service,” but the earlier Worlds removal already pointed to the wind-down.

Call of Duty has now crossed $40 billion in lifetime franchise revenue after the launch of Modern Warfare 4.

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma announced the number on X, calling the new game “one of the most celebrated Call of Duty games in its 24-year history.” Modern Warfare 4 is the 23rd mainline entry and launched last Friday. The series began in 2003.

Public figures put the franchise past $30 billion by mid-2022. The jump to $40 billion comes after several years of annual releases that continued to sell and monetize even when individual entries drew mixed reviews.

For scale, GTA 5 alone has earned over $10 billion across 13 years. Call of Duty has now cleared four times that total across a larger number of titles released on a near-yearly cadence.

The series keeps adding billions even when some entries are uneven. The $40 billion total is the result of that cadence, not one standout game.

Bandai’s Ichiban Kuji lottery for the 20th anniversary of Ouran High School Host Club is now running in Japan.

Attempts cost 750 yen. In-store sales began October 24 and online sales started October 28. It runs through late January 2027 or until supplies last.

The A and Last One prizes are figures of Tamaki handing Haruhi a rose. The B prize is a ceramic replica of the vase she breaks in the first episode, the accident that puts her in debt and forces her to join the host club.

Everything else is standard anniversary merch: small figures, towels, stands, and charms. The original anime ran 26 episodes in 2006.

Most prizes mark the anniversary. The vase is the only one that recreates the exact moment the series starts.

CD Projekt marked the 19th anniversary of the original Witcher with a direct tribute to BioWare.

The studio said BioWare’s support “turned our vision into Geralt’s first interactive adventure,” citing the Aurora engine loan, shared knowledge, and a spot at BioWare’s E3 booth. Joint CEO Michał Nowakowski had already called BioWare “a massive part of CDPR history” last week after the studio’s closure.

The first Witcher shipped in 2007 on that engine. CD Projekt later built its own for The Witcher 2, Wild Hunt, and Cyberpunk 2077.

The anniversary post arrives days after EA shut BioWare down. It frames the original game as dependent on that early help, while the studio that provided it is no longer around.

Phantom Blade Zero is landing with strong reviews ahead of its October 28 launch on PS5 and PC.

The Wuxia action RPG from S-GAME sits at an 88 on Metacritic across about 40 critic reviews, including multiple perfect scores. That places it 27th among all games released in 2026 so far, just behind titles like Pokémon Pokopia and Resident Evil Requiem at 89.

Critics have specifically highlighted the fluid parry-focused combat and multi-phase boss fights. The score puts it just ahead of several other major 2026 releases that landed at 87.

It launches in a couple of days as the latest high-scoring entry in an already packed year.

A new report claims the Silent Hill 1 remake is targeting a 2027 PS5 release from Bloober Team and Konami.

It also names Gabrielle Fritz and Jade Matthew as part of the voice cast. Fritz has prior game credits in Battlefield 2042 and Wolfenstein II. Matthew’s credits are mainly in Torchwood. No details on Harry Mason have surfaced yet.

For three years Konami has put out a new Silent Hill title annually. Franchise producer Motoi Okamoto has said the goal is to keep that pace, with multiple unannounced projects already in development.

The report suggests the remake would fill the 2027 slot and continue that cadence. So far Bloober has only confirmed the project exists via a social post. More could surface before the end of the year.

Manni Perez, the actor fans have long assumed is Lucia in GTA 6, went live on Instagram and never once mentioned the game.

She deleted her accounts last year after constant messages about the role, then returned for an 11-minute session she framed as people getting to know her. Perez called herself an intense introvert and said she is “not a fan of social media.”

When viewers assumed she was wealthy, she replied, “I ain’t no millionaire,” and described doing her own shopping, cooking, and laundry while driving a used sedan. She also talked about a lower-middle-class upbringing in a small town.

Comments about Lucia filled the chat the entire time. Perez answered everything else and smiled through the rest. The article notes that the complete silence is what keeps the casting theory alive weeks before the November 19 launch.
