#Sepsis. Should we adopt a pragmatic or utopian approach? My debate with Prof Mervyn Singer hosted by @BSACandJAC. Reinforces where we actually stand on antibiotics and AMR! https://t.co/hlONI305fZ
We have seen data from NHS England showing a 60% reduction in presentations with #sepsis during April. The time is now to bring focus back to other conditions!

Flu Bee Game started life persuading healthcare staff to get the flu vaccine. We now have a version that persuades patients to get vaccinated. A simple way for hospitals to reduce infection risks. #flu#FluFighter#FluFighters#COVID19
We’re going to fight for those affected by #LongCovid and their rehab needs, Just as we’ve been doing for eight years for those with #LongSepsis. Here’s what we’re going to do. And I know I look tired!!
Just a little reminder. Every year, and estimated 48,000 people in the UK die with #sepsis. Not dissimilar to the number of lives claimed by #Covid_19. Both important, both frightening, all lives lost a tragedy. We need to prioritise all life-threatening infection.
Our first socially distanced Sepsis champion day today escape rooms, @SepsisGame COVID update Barney Kyle blood culture training from Bella, neutropenic sepsis from Anna and our first Skype patient story and I’ve just seen an email from a nurse planning to take the ideas back.
I’ve worked with 100s of incredible @BACCNUK nurses over 18 yrs. They’ve supported me, helped me, challenged me & saved me from making poor decisions. We’re now working with nurses from other areas who’re growing into the role amazingly well. Thank you. #InternationalNursesDay

During #COVID19 NHS staff still need ongoing training. Face-to-face is not always possible.
So, we have FREE 'serious' games to help staff improve knowledge via their phone. Bite-sized learning that offers a useful distraction. Please share https://t.co/BHZFmO0N8A
We updated the #COVID19 Game yesterday. We hope it will help sort facts from fiction and keep people safe, especially frontline workers who are supporting all of us. Please feel free to share the link however and wherever you wish: https://t.co/AVDT8KN4do
TOTALLY unofficial advice- but, if you’re self-isolating and you’re getting worse, when to ask for help? Deterioration from other conditions, including #Sepsis, is still a matter to be taken seriously...
