Ten newspaper covers. Not one front page leading story or headline about the Reform scandal. It broke long before they went to print. Nobody touched it.
If it was the leader of any other political party they’d have been all over it.
But yeah, “the press is out to get Farage”.
"The people doing the filming.. were founded by.. the centre for climate reporting"
So the BBC is going to start highlighting the origin of all news reports? The next time you cover a story in the Daily Mail you'll point out its owned by a billionaire tax avoider, will you?
Hunter Biden: "I called Hasan Piker. You know what Hasan said when my dad got cancer. He said he hopes he dies a horrible, horrible death that's far worse than cancer"

What most economists and analysts don't comprehend is that we don't live in a world in which government deficits reduce national savings and crowd out investment. Rather, the deficit increases savings and investment. What really drives bond yields is the central bank rate target.
Lawyer: “Have you ever had a personal relationship with Donald Trump?”
Epstein: “Yes”
Lawyer: “Have you socialized with him in the presence of females under 18?”
Epstein: “I’m asserting my Fifth, Sixth, and Fourteenth Amendment rights.”
@joorosa12185462@DAcemogluMIT The point is that economists need to get out of their bubbles & start listening to people when they share their experiences & observations, instead of acting like something can ‘only be known’ by doing a formal study. Do they need a study that tells them to wipe their ass too?
@alexanderrX_ Stock markets aren’t really about raising funds for investment though. Once the IPO is done, it’s mostly just exit liquidity and gambling. How many companies actually use the stock market to acquire investment capital rather than a way to make shareholders wealthy?
I always knew Smith was a crazy left wing nut! 😂
"No society can surely be flourishing and happy, of which the far greater part of the members are poor and miserable."

Margaret Thatcher never asked for permission to Privatise, there was never a vote and the State Owned companies had no choice.
The UK Government has Compulsory Purchase power, it can buy ANYTHING in the UK.
We can sort out paying for it afterwards.
Mainstream economists suppose that budget deficit increases inflation and at the same time propose rate hikes to curb inflation as they ignore the fact that rising interest rates reduce tax revenues by triggering bankruptcies and unemployment.
How would they explain this?
From the issuance of government bonds and the payment of interest on them, to letting the yields rise, to deliberately tolerating unemployment and underemployment, to leaving real resources idle and productive capacity unused, to finding “money” for war while claiming there isn’t enough for healthcare, education, housing, or public services, none of these are financial necessities. They are political choices.

When Trump was writing birthday wishes to Epstein, I was among the first to arrive at the scene to recover the bodies of my fellow astronauts... When Trump was pushing conspiracy theories against President Obama, I was sitting beside my wife's hospital bed... I've been through far worse in service to my country. The president and Pete Hegseth will not silence me."
