yes please. just give me a proper web3 game where i would genuinely play for years like i did for some of the titles that i played competitively.

above all, it must be fun to be queued against CT larps and stomp them ingame at least for once.

i don't mind if it's MOBA or FPS.

i am begging you, PLEASE make a genuinely high quality game that incorporates crypto.

not a token with a game duct taped to it. not another idle clicker. not some shit i play for 4 days because there’s an airdrop.

give me a game i actually WANT to waste 6 hours a day on.

give me insanely rare items to hunt. real progression. difficult grinds. player trading. an actual economy. items that people give a shit about owning.

then build aggressive burn mechanics into everything.

crafting burns items. upgrading burns items. rerolling stats burns items. entering certain areas burns resources. repairing gear burns resources. prestige burns shit. make the economy constantly consume what players are producing instead of infinitely inflating until everything is worthless.

i want to log in every morning wondering if today is the day i find some 1/1000 piece of shit that makes me lose my mind.

crypto should make the game MORE interesting, not be the entire reason the game exists.

is WEB3 gaming really too much to ask for?

there aren't a lot of people i've met in this industry who i can say genuinely care about this industry and the people in it.

but if there's one guy that i could confidently reference anytime; @wiimee is one of the very few.

it's easy for a lot of people here to pretend that they care about the ethos, the culture, the builders, and the future of the space.

until you eventually realize that a lot of them only maintain that character because they're incentivized to do so.

wanna know the hard truth behind the biggest accounts that most of you pontify?

for them, appearing principled is profitable. appearing concerned gives them influence. appearing like they care serves their own self-interest.

a wolf in sheep's clothing.

and there are plenty of them here.

the unfortunate part is that most of us are terrible at discerning who these people are.

worse, we often end up intentionally electing them to lead the narrative.

meanwhile, people like this guy who actually spend their time and effort improving their craft and helping make this space more secure, barely receives the same attention.

and that says a lot about the current state of this industry.

and frankly, it's becoming increasingly difficult even for me to find a good reason to remain optimistic about where we're heading.

i'm still not sure whether i'll eventually go back to creating educational content and writing about the business side of this space, trying to help people think better so they're less susceptible to grifters and bad actors.

or whether i'll just delete this account at some point and finally move on.

because after spending years here, one thing has become painfully clear:

this space doesn't have a shortage of people who know how to look like they care.

it lacks of people who actually do.

I can definitely support the last 2 points that you've raised especially after the opportunity to know you better lately but given the chance that you also raised point #1, allow me to ask you a few questions if you may:

1. based on your experience building games in this industry; is there really a feasible way to make an economically sustainable crypto game with token/s attached to it?

i've been in this space long enough to see all the crypto jargons to prop up a launch - but even with all of those, seems like no one was really able to build a sustainable game - let alone a "fun" one that people would really want to play without the incentives attached on it.

2. how do you intend to tackle the absolutely horrendous user churn rate in this space? let alone for more niched products like gaming?
