I have nothing against cozy books but I’m seeing a pattern with how BIPOC authors are having to write cozy, more “palatable” books to be published & I wonder why there’s a resistance to BIPOC rage/violence in books when in fact white authors have been writing dark books forever.

I think this is a good time to say that for SmoochPit I’m only open to subs by BIPOC authors because we continue to be underrepresented in publishing and there’s not nearly as many BIPOC stories being put out rn even though some people claim otherwise ♥️
