In characteristic fashion, the Potemkin Party's erratic political pendulum is yet again swinging between two extreme positions:
i) A provocative and aggressive posturing that has been accompanied, for over two years now, by incessant saber-rattling to "acquire sovereign access to the sea", on the one hand;
ii) Simultaneous portrayal of itself as the "aggrieved party" and a "hapless victim of internal and external conspiracies", on the other.

This was indeed the gist of the PM's rambling at the House of Peoples Representatives earlier today.

Hyperbole and associated drama aside, the stubborn facts remain the same.

The sad truth is: the unnecessary and avoidable tensions in the region have and continue to be stoked by the very reckless policies of the Potemkin Party. For brief illustrations:

1. The palpable friction with the Sudan squarely emanates from the Potemkin Party's dangerous involvement in the conflict in the Sudan by hosting, under the bidding of certain extraneous forces, a secret military camp and base for the RSF in the Benishangul-Gumuz region of Ethiopia. The evidence, which is overwhelming, is already in the public domain.
2. The Potemkin Party's stealthily signed MOU with Somaliland a couple of years ago was another illicit and reckless misstep that aroused consternation in the region as a whole. This act remains in flagrant violation of the AU and IGAD Constitutive Acts as well as fundamental tenets of international law on sovereignty and territorial integrity of States.
3. The Potemkin Party has pursued, for over two and half years now, a toxic and revisionist policy against Eritrea by openly threatening to invade/acquire by any means, its Assab port and coastal areas for what it terms as "sovereign access to the sea".
4. In the event, its frequent reference to "conspiratorial forces disappointed by, and bent on, scuttling the Pretoria Agreement" is as disingenuous as it is untenable. In as far as Eritrea is concerned, the Pretoria Agreement is a purely Ethiopian affair. Let us also recall - the beans have been spilled now by Getachew Redda's multiple confessions - that the Potemkin Party was scheming against Eritrea (Djibouti and Seychelles events) months before the negotiations and signature of the Pretoria Agreement.

In a nutshell, the quest for enduring regional peace and stability that the peoples of the Horn of Africa deeply cherish and deserve has been, and continues to be, jeopardized by the Potemkin Party's delusional policies.

HAVE A GLIMPSE ON UNEDITED HUMAN RIGHTS HISTORY OF THE HORN OF AFRICA:

The staggering flood of more than 1 million troops - plus borrowed military equipments supplied by allied forces - were poured by the ruling regimes in #Ethiopia continuously into #Eritrea starting 1951.

On May 13, 1998, PM Meles of #Ethiopia declared what he called “an all out war” by labeling its political objective as “ቀይ ባህር ግመላቸው ያጠጡብት” “Let them use the Red Sea for drinks by their camel”.

This primitive, evil and barbaric strategy reached its apex when the late PM Meles of the “Federal”Republic of Ethiopia declared all out war to invade an independent country and subjugate the people of Eritrea again. This military, diplomatic and propaganda loaded with coercive programs was carried out in a multi pronged offensives to impoverish and successfully land-lock Eritrea.

As a result of these phenomenal and historically evil policy actions, millions of people were displaced from their homes and families. Famine, ruthless killings and economic underdevelopment have become the dominant continued landmark features of the Horn of Africa for decades now.

Unfortunately these unprecedented crimes committed against humanity were never raised in any international forums including and not excluding in the UN Human Rights Council #HRC.

Fabricated smoke screening by continued lies and misleading propaganda cannot and will not hide this history of savagery and lawlessness at regional or international levels - be it today, tomorrow or in the future.

The rule of law shall win because the choice of the people in the region is peace and stability.

Statehood based on sovereignty and principle of citizenship respect
is the only strategic option which can open and foster future regional peace, stability, cooperation & prosperity in the Horn of
Africa.

Election Fallout: Zeyse Community in Ethiopia's Gamo Zone calls for investigation after alleged deadly reprisal linked to boycotting vote

ETHIOPIA ― 🚨Residents of Zeyse Woreda in #Ethiopia's Gamo Zone have accused government soldiers of carrying out a deadly operation that reportedly left at least 17 civilians dead and displaced tens of thousands following the June 2026 election.

According to several eye witness reports, the alleged military campaign took place between 18 June and 2 July.

According to these witnesses simultaneously interviewed by Mereb Media and @mamamesay of Anchor Media, soldiers accused residents of refusing to vote for the ruling Prosperity Party before allegedly carrying out a campaign of violence across Zeyse District.

Community members are urging Ethiopian authorities and international @UNHumanRights @hrw @AmnestyEARO organizations to investigate the reported massacre to hold those responsible to account.

#Eritrea : Asmara Technical School graduates 136 students

In its 35th commencement, Asmara Technical School yesterday graduated 136 students, including 39% female students, who completed two years of training in auto mechanics, construction, woodwork, electronics, electricity, and metalwork.

Asmara Technical School, which was established in 1954, has, in its 72 years of service, graduated over 10 thousand students in various fields of study.
