I worked in university outreach and was disappointed by how much rural schools miss out on when distance to other sources of cultural capital already add barriers. Seeing similar in my workplaces now where investment/access is too local to city office locations.
@bazhsw8183 Thanks for this Barry; it would surprise me too, bc of my background and bc of the number of ambitious state schools I’ve worked with who do so much to give their pupils access to people like Olympians, hopefully a sign that things are better now, but still much to do to equalise
