Dear CoinGecko Team,

We write for the team behind Catecoin ($CATE) on Solana, contract address Ai66LHZG9MCzg1WKdawwqduVAXpNDUuV8M3uyq5ppump, whose listing was removed on 03.08.2026. We ask that the decision be reviewed under your IP infringement delisting process.

We understand the action followed a public campaign by the BNB Chain project @catecoin, which tagged CoinGecko among other platforms and claimed that "the names $CATE and #CATECOIN are registered intellectual property." USPTO records, attached, do not support that claim:

1. There is no U.S. registration of CATECOIN as a word. The standard character application (Serial 98621475) has been suspended by the USPTO since 16 January 2025 behind a prior filed third party application, CATCOIN (Serial 98518831). No one holds exclusivity in the word.

2. Nothing on the register covers the ticker $CATE, in any form.

3. The only registration, No. 7977260, owned by an individual, Abhijeet Shukla, is a color logo design mark (Standard Character Claim: No). The Token uses no element of that design.

4. That registration is within the five year window and we are taking U.S. counsel's advice on a petition to cancel it, directed to whether the registrant renders the recited Class 36 exchange services at all.

Two points specific to CoinGecko:

First, your platform already lists similarly named assets on different chains as separate entries, identified by chain and contract address. The two projects can coexist on CoinGecko exactly as thousands of duplicate names and tickers already do, with no user confusion.

Second, https://t.co/c8fjI1oWDl removed the Token over the same claims, then reviewed the matter and reinstated it.

We therefore ask that CoinGecko restore the Token's listing, identify the basis for the removal, and confirm whether the complaining party is the registrant of record for No. 7977260.
