Great to have the opportunity to learn from the fantastic speakers today at the Service User Academia Symposium. Big thanks to the organising committee and panelists #SUAS2021
What a day! Thank you all for coming and contributing to such a great mini symposium this year. It was lovely seeing some old friends and making new ones, and #SUAS2021 was only a success because of the great community we have.
And @HelenaRoennfel2 extends this beautiful session- talking about the sacred & transformative spaces that mental health crises can present in people’s lives #SUAS2021
Many of these trailblazers in audience today 🙏at #SUAS2021 , along with folk who will be future trailblazers- challenging status quo in mental health teaching, research & practice
Reflecting on how even though we're dispersed for #SUAS2021 this year, I'm still feeling a sense of valuable community-building going on. Very glad we have this day together-apart 😁
Creating a service user led research agenda - rather than attaching to existing agendas - will take this research out of the margins. - Alberto Vasquez #SUAS2021
Lucky to hear from Alberto Vasquez this morning at #SUAS2021 and the way in which we can learn a lot from the human rights community and disability community
ngl, I'm jealous of @jotaylor_nz's students at Massey who are getting more and more service user led and human rights based teaching each year #SUAS2021
