聽 is the Chinese character "Ting," meaning "To listen." This character involves the ears (耳), eyes (十 目 or “ten eyes), and heart (一 心 or “one heart”) when listening well. The presence of “king” (王) represents undivided attention or that a wise person listens to others.

Jesus’ incarnation and the whole witness of Scripture calls everyone who would love and follow him to join this ministry. With Jesus we are to announce good news, pursue transformative friendship, and labor for justice with the poor.

And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. - Hebrews 12:1b-2 NIV

This Mexico City community gathered because of a generous celebration tithe given by longtime friends of Servant Partners, Bree and Tom Hsieh. Read how this tithe came about, and how 15 Servant Partners teams around the world enjoyed joyful celebration. https://t.co/HaSbliDafI
“For the first time, we had a Taquiza at our community center and ate tacos straight from the tacos stand,” SP Mexico City Site Leader Beauty Ndoro said. “We saw joy and the love of God in people’s eyes as they were being fed with tacos.”
This discipleship is central to all our work of community transformation and reminds us that we do not seek justice and liberation apart from God, but as the people of God we seek the Kingdom and the King.
At the end of Matthew, Jesus commissioned the twelve to go and make disciples of all nations, teaching them to obey all he had commanded. We believe this call is for Jesus’ people throughout every time and culture.
God’s deep love for urban marginalized communities compels us to join with the Spirit’s work of inviting neighbors to follow Jesus deeply in every aspect of their lives.
