Now, I shut it up with “a pretty dragon sticker - that’s the point.” And that part of my brain isn’t used to push back so it shuts up.
Embrace the childish/silly rewards for getting stuff done, if they help! Stickers, chocolate, a penny in a jar - if it keeps you going, use it!

Yeah, well, I wasn’t in a great place mentally in my teenage years, and sometimes my brain will fall back into “what’s the point of doing X? It won’t stay done.”

I was able to change up the designs several times to keep on top of changing commitments and keep it fresh so my eyes didn’t get bored.
I was able to build in a reward system that worked for me and change it up when I needed to.
