India and China did not have a border since Independence. After Chinese takeover of Tibet by force and PLA aggression, China became India’s border. Any “border solution “ talks must be tripartite and include representatives of Tibet. China should also stop claiming Arunachal Pradesh. China’s present position does not address India’s security and strategic concerns.

Dr. Chari reflected on RIS’s journey since 1983 and its longstanding engagement with the concerns and development priorities of the Global South. He highlighted the important role of civil society in bringing perspectives and solutions from the grassroots to the development discourse. He expressed confidence that the Forum’s deliberations would foster meaningful dialogue, deepen collective understanding and contribute to development approaches rooted in local realities.

Excellent decision. We should invest more in production of coaches and add more trains on different local lines. More importantly, @CMOMaharashtra should clear all illegal encroachment and slums on railway property, all along the tracks. These slums are not only areas of open defecation but pose high security threat besides being hub for drug peddlers and other illicit activities.

Respecting dissent, dialogue with Muslim/Christian leaders, supporting the needy through self help projects, spearheading social reform--none of these, perceived as elements of "new RSS", is new to @RSSorg. One should read the history of the RSS to know that it has been engaged in several such activities since its foundation while concentrating on its primary activity of daily shakha.

It is almost one year since I posted about @airindia not having a business class lounge at @aaipatairport. A few of my friends criticised me for being 'elitist', seeking undue privilege in a 'poor country'. @airindia responded saying the facility will be available soon. Not yet. Why can't we be more serious in doing business professionally? Incidentally, freeloading politicians and VIPs have a special VIP lounge, but none for passengers who pay for their tickets. Do we need @narendramodi or @PMOIndia to crack the whip & intervene for even small little facilities?

Two things I observed in Bihar. One is people in general are happy with the infrastructure development, especially highways and metro system in Patna city done by @NitishKumar. Some are even unhappy that he has shifted to Delhi. The other thing is the high hopes people have from @PrashantKishor especially after his recent victory. The @BJP4India needs to do some serious thinking and damage control.

Very true @RatanSharda55 ji. Even as CM Madhya Pradesh @ChouhanShivraj was one of the best performing CMs. He was very caring, leading the state by example, never allowed any problem to fester, met with all sections of the society. He led the green MP project by personally planting minimum one tree per day for all five years. He has handled the farmers issue and ethanol mix very well.

There is a perennial traffic jam spot on way to @DelhiAirport T3 & T2 airports delaying passengers by more than half an hour at times resulting in missing flights for none of their fault. Illegal parking on the left side of the road, long duration traffic lights & characteristic indiscipline of people are some of the reasons for this traffic jam. People need to be more disciplined but the @dtptraffic & @LtGovDelhi can do their bit by providing new infrastructure like underpass or overbridge. Smooth flow of traffic will enhance the image of the city and probably bring more foreign investment than some band-aid tax cuts.

@nitin_gadkari Very true @nitin_gadkari ji. Dr. D Y Patil was a visionary statesman. He established private hospitals but insisted that poor patients should be given priority and treated free or charged a very marginal amount. Such noble souls are becoming rare. 🙏

Even the protests that they carried out was a dull affair not supported by real students, @RatanSharda55 ji. On the last day the crowd was managed. The criminal elements were not brought in, nor did they infiltrate, the entire protest was organised by the criminal elements. Very true @RatanSharda55 ji. In the last twelve years, several new entrants into the party have been elevated to top positions in party and govt. Most of the ministries are run by civil servants. Party veterans who went to jail during #Emergency or were full timers, who have had close association with earlier NDA govt have been either marginalised or neglected. Major segment of the youth who formed the core voter base of the party in 2014 are distancing from the party. I wish you could suggest an arrangement so that senior and experienced people could be utilised usefully for course correction.
