Today it was revealed that Former President Carter asked Joe Biden to give his eulogy. Here are some things to remember Carter by while he's still with us:
- At 95-years-old he continued to build homes with Habitat for Humanity as seen below.
- In the 1960’s he supported civil rights, which hurt his early political career in Georgia.
- Jimmy Carter won a Nobel Peace Prize
- Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter are the longest married president and first lady ever.
-In 2006, he was instrumental in reforming the U.N. Commission on Human Rights, now the U.N. Human Rights Council.
Best wishes President Carter!
Your positive mark on history is a BIG one.
I've never stepped foot in Texas but I needed to DO something. I'm proud of the work @BetoORourke and his campaign did, and to have been a small part of it. Thank you to all of the lovely Texans who chatted with this Yankee gal who wanted to make a difference.
One of the Texans I spoke to when phone banking for @BetoORourke said, "even if he loses, a small loss is a big step in the right direction." I had thought a loss was a loss, but now I am hopeful. Thank you for all you did, Beto. I'll fight for you, because you're fighting for us
If you are turned away at the polls because your name is not on the register, don’t walk away. Say this: I REQUEST A PROVISIONAL BALLOT AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
Don’t let them steal your vote.
I watched the #Ellison episode of @TheProfitCNBC, and @marcuslemonis sang a bit of "Sunglasses at Night" and it's been stuck in my head all day. So I'm playing it now and if anyone walks into my office I'm going to have a lot of explaining to do. #TheProfit
