I hope you're excited for the NFL draft! I trained a model to predict the GM most likely to draft a player based on their testing and production. I think the model is good, but don’t take my word for it – check it out with the app I created for it! https://t.co/Y0AiNF9uDQ
The second nailed prediction in the draft is Matthew Golden to the Packers! I never thought it would happen since it's a WR in the first round. Good job model.
Kelvin Banks Jr. is the first pick that my model nailed the prediction for! (Darn all these new GMs at the top making the overall accuracy look worse). Check out the predictions for yourself here https://t.co/CQgL827bQ9
It's finally draft day! I couldn't help myself and made another little project for the draft. This time I created an NLP analysis based on Scouting Reports written by Dane Brugler in his infamous 'the Beast' draft guide.
You can check it out here! https://t.co/CQgL826E0B
Excited to share my WR and RB models for the 2025 NFL draft! I feel really good about these models, but go check them out for yourself in the app I made to show off my draft stuff https://t.co/Y0AiNF9uDQ
Josh Allen averaged +0.76 EPA per dropback in the Bills route over the Jaguars, his 2nd-highest mark in a game in his career (including playoffs).
Allen threw all 4 TDs in the first half to four different receivers, all on dropbacks over 2.5 seconds.

Cooper Kupp had 42 snaps and 12 touches in motion in Week 1, the most by any player in a game over the last seven seasons.
Kupp was in motion at the snap on 30 plays, 6 more than any other player in a game over that time span.

Center Creed Humphrey's max speed on Xavier Worthy's end around TD was 14.69 MPH, according to @NextGenStats.
Only Worthy, Noah Gray, Malik Harrison and Marcus Williams had a faster top speed on this play.
Some of my favorites I found for the kickoff game:
-Hamilton has been great against tight ends last season, but Travis Kelce picked on him a little in the AFCCG.
-Look out for play action from the Ravens offense as Lamar was very productive last year!

Happy football day to all those that celebrate!
Go take a look at NFL Pro before every game this season where you can find all the info you could want including a ton of insights (some were written by yours truly)!

This USC-LSU game is more like it! Miller Moss and Garrett Nussmeier have played very well so far, but not a ton of data to pull from prior to this season. Excited to see QBs like this with lesser hype coming into the year show up!
After watching a handful of college games so far this weekend, I'm not convinced there are any high tier QB prospects in the 2025 draft class right now.
Going into the season, the top guys from my model were Leonard - Upside
Beck/Sanders - Solid, not elite, in structure

I am extremely excited to share a career update - I am working with the NFL as a Next Gen Stats Research Analyst for the season!
This is a huge dream come true for me as football and data science are my two favorite things.
Looking forward to posting way too much this season!
I think you can tell everything you need to know about me by the fact that I always wanted to be Leonardo, but I know deep down that I've always been Donatello.
