My new book, Red Dwarfs Make The Best Homes, is now out!
Red Dwarfs Make The Best Homes is a diverse, collaborative collection of essays and science fiction about space colonisation and the Kardashev scale.

@katwatchesfilms There is also the suggestion that Clark is plain wrong about the backrooms "people" lacking any awareness, given the lamp-guy's response to stimuli, the red-dressed woman's fear over the pirate monster (and the actively predatory pirate monster itself).
@TrilbeeReviews - A two-parter about a war in ancient Earth history between the Silence and the Daemons.
- Heroic Tivolians (I'm not sure why, but I've always had an affinity with the Tivolians, and I want some morally good Tivolians).
@TrilbeeReviews My agenda as Doctor Who showrunner is still:
- A historical two-parter involving the Tamam Shud mystery from 1948 Adelaide.
- A two-part historical revealing Ma Anand Sheela of the Rajneesh cult and Elizabeth Holmes of Theranos as incarnations of the Rani.
@BarbaraYetaxa I thought The Haunting Of Villa Diodati was tense and eerie and had a great villain in Ashad, but I disliked how much it focused on Percy Shelley when it should be Mary's story, and the dilemma in the climax somehow lacks any suspense.
@abitdickensian Really good choices. :)
We both loved Rogue, 73 Yards and Boom, but I'd also put Dot And Bubble in "The Best".
I thought The Legend Of Ruby Sunday was okay (so, "Good" or "Meh" for me), but I thought Empire Of Death was pretty bad.
(I must confess I still haven't seen Series 2.)
@WhovianLife My dream Who cast would be Andrea Riseborough as the Doctor, Sarah Snook as a Time Lord companion (Romana, perhaps), Victoria Coren as a human companion (think a more erudite Donna), and Caleb Landry Jones as the Master (the second American Master after Eric Roberts).
@GregoryMcFadden My household's first shared computer was an LC 575, followed by a graphite iMac G3, then an eMac, then a 2008 iMac. My first Mac of my own was an LC III, then a white MacBook much later (during university).
As a collector and tinkerer, I've owned and currently own dozens of Macs.
@melikeydrwho I didn't watch Series 14/Season 1 until a year later when it finally came out on home media in Australia, but I heard so much outrage and disappointment from the fandom. Sure enough, I thought Series 14 had an okay beginning, a GREAT middle and a pretty bad ending.
@LadyALover95@minimoefoe I was thinking the same.
Jodie's outfit reads like a dress in some of the promotional material for her era (especially in silhouette-based art like this poster), but she still has a pretty unisex outfit that wouldn't look incongruent on a guy.
@CinemaTweets1 No competition is necessary.
Dune and The Lord Of The Rings were always the supreme epic novels of their respective genres, and the same can be be true of their film adaptations.
@frombwtocolor In the timelines where Doctor Who is an American show, Brad Dourif would have been a great Seventh Doctor.
By the way, American actor Caleb Landry Jones is still my number one pick to play the Master.
@DannyDrinksWine I hope it's either Hamnet or Sinners (I'd love for Train Dreams or Frankenstein to win, but they probably won't). I hope One Battle After Another DOESN'T win, as it's a very good film that I dislike.
@saraaa7447 @cannibalcanidae With some limitations, I could gladly live out of my 2013 or 2010 Mac Pros, and many people underestimate how capable and even fast (not just fast enough) old computers can be.
Hell, my MDD Power Mac G4 with an SSD still feels snappy.
@g0thgoblin Since the sheer number of Skyrim rereleases and ports is a joke at this point, I'm surprised Skyrim still hasn't come out for Mac.
Mac gaming is better than it's ever been at this point, and Skyrim would give it further legitimacy.
@SnazzyLabs Why do you think the MacBook Neo has a five-core GPU and not six cores?
Does this mean that my iPhone 15 Pro Max's six-core GPU has a more powerful GPU than this MacBook's five-core GPU?
I think this compromise goes too far.
@BarbaraYetaxa I'd love to see Sarah Snook or Jessie Buckley play the Doctor, but Snook's Emmy and two Golden Globes for Succession and Buckley's Golden Globe (and very likely an Oscar) for Hamnet likely make them too big and famous (and expensive) to play the Doctor.
@BarbaraYetaxa I thought being too big or famous would preclude an actor from playing the Doctor.
Most actors who played the Doctor (Gatwa included) were small but highly-praised character actors for whom Doctor Who catapulted them to stardom.
@ClassicII_MrMac A friend working at a local JB HiFi kindly let me test my 2018 Mac Mini with their Studio Display. The Studio Display worked with no issue, and someone on YouTube even ran their 2013 Mac Pro through a Studio Display using an adapter.
