“STRANGER THINGS” has reached its finale. For me, it was actually a very special drama series. It began in 2016, during my difficult time right after I went independent, a period filled with anxiety and loneliness. It was also when I first started watching streaming services as a new kind of medium. Over the past ten years, I’ve spent time with Eleven, the others, and the people of Hawkins (including the monsters from the Upside Down), receiving courage from them and being pushed forward again and again. As I watched them grow through the story, I was also growing in the “real world,” the story’s own kind of Upside Down—struggling, tracing connections, and finding my way forward in much the same way. It’s sad to think that I won’t be seeing them anymore. But there’s always a way to return to this “town.” This isn’t a story about saying goodbye. As symbolized by D&D (the table-talk RPG) at both the beginning and the end, the “story” already lives within us. By recalling that world and those characters, and “table-talking” it in our minds, we can create new stories at any time. Among the many stories born inside us, they will continue to live on forever. There, they’ll meet again and keep adventuring. As long as we don’t forget, it’s always “here.” Thank you, “STRANGER THINGS” 🙏🫶👍😍
"As of writing this, the worst matchup in our data is 54-46%, but I guarantee you everyone can think of a matchup that they feel is far worse than that."
This blows my mind for 3 reasons.
1) It reminds me devs have objective data on matchup balance, and probably a lot more. I'm sorry about that time I shit talked the guy who teabagged me and I still won.
2) 5.4 - 4.6 is the worst matchup in 2XKO before patch which is good (and that's under their goal). The impression the internet gives about balance and the reality is a much bigger gulf than I expected.
3) This is as transparent as it gets about balance in fighting games. You gotta read it, I learned a lot.
The fact that @Play2XKO has two of its top gameplay designers in an Evo top 8, with dozens of staff in the crowd, should tell you everything you need to know about how much this team is for the community, by the community
i don't know how to describe it, but something about super mario 64 feels like... ethereal. otherworldly. it's got a very odd feeling to it compared to other 3D mario games, like you're stepping into another dimension when you play it
it must have been CRAZY for a kid in 1996
Had a fantastic experience at #CEO2025 this year - great venue and event, wonderful seeing faces old and new. Would very much like to return next year; @Jebailey + Team put on a stellar CEO.
