“True-crime documentary on Netflix” is rarely a draw for me but How To Rob A Bank is glorious. A beautifully made, gripping, and profound piece of filmmaking that runs under 90 minutes. How to make a documentary.
Really enjoyed the new Netflix doc HOW TO ROB A BANK and talking to co-directors Seth Porges and Stephen Robert Morse about the collision of Hollywood and bank heists. I’m not really a true-crime guy, but this was very much my jam. https://t.co/JWVXoGrEDf
@motezb Many of the banks specifically wanted to avoid confrontation to ensure nobody got hurt. The money was insured and they'd rather the robbers took the cash and got out without it turning into a risky confrontation. Hollywood definitely took advantage of that.
The new Netflix documentary 'How To Rob A Bank' is as compelling as true crime fare gets. Read Tyler Doupé's (@FunWithHorror) review on Dread Central. https://t.co/609b5YAWHa
"Point Break" is a masterpiece of stylish macho-Zen California crime cinema, and thus it’s no shock to learn that it was also the inspiration for one of the greatest bank robbery sprees in recent American history.

"How to Rob a Bank" tells the wild story of one of America's greatest real-life bank robbers, who was inspired by Patrick Swayze in "Point Break."
