@thomasmlambo What a coward of a coach.. 5 defenders 3 defensive midfielders ??? Where must the goals come from ... did the same thing at afcon right...
Just watched the Helen Zille interview on Anele & The Club on 947.
My personal thoughts:
- Anele Mdoda was unprofessional, seemingly had a pre-meditated agenda & was subtly aggressive towards Helen.
- Helen exposed her racism, hypocrisy & was also very unprofessional. (An aside: Her attempt at "denying" the genocide in Gaza on Newzroom Afrika, is quite amusing!)
- Racism is not going to end anytime soon. Reading the comments on YouTube is proof enough. Here on Twitter as well.
- I'm always tickled when conservative (read: Racist) Whites get angry when their favourite Black doesn't perform the way they want & gets "out of hand"! 🤭
- The DA doesn't take accountability for their failures, but wants all the glory when things go well.
- The DA supposedly dislikes the ANC, but they kept the ANC in power via the GNU instead of letting them implode via a minority govt.
- Helen has no real plan to fix water, electricity & other things, besides blaming the ANC & promising that they won't steal money.
- Tshwane & Nelson Mandela Bay are DA failure stories, but they don't take accountability & keep blaming the ANC.
- Helen acknowledged that places like Camps Bay & Sandton are great coz of private capital, not govt. All govt does is supply water, electricity & roads.
- The confusing split between local, provincial & national govt is actually deeply disturbing & must be fixed ASAP. From who is responsible for schools, clinics, traffic lights, police, etc.
- Helen acknowledges that she & her family are refugees. Yet she shades other (read: Black) refugees. Also applauds White ppl moving from JHB to CT, but has issues with Black ppl moving from the EC to the WC.
- Anele will get an applause from conservative (read: Racist) Black ppl, who hate the DA & dislike White ppl. Coloureds need to be mentioned whenever the DA is talked about, coz many of them vote for the DA.
- The ANC & DA don't seem like good parties to support for local elections. Not sure if ActionSA is currently favoured, when you consider Herman Mashaba's run as JHB Mayor & Dr Nasiphi Moya as Tshwane Mayor.
- A very entertaining, but cringe debate. Very unprofessional & quite heated. People will enjoy it, of course. I did too, I have to admit.
- A White woman & Black woman arguing over politics. A gay Black man & a White man in the background. Couldn't help but think that straight Black men are failing South Africa, in their absence (Operation Dudula) & generally (ANC/EFF/MKP leadership).
- Yes, 947 does run Johannesburg. As an important platform, they influence society, assist in resolving issues & are a form of leadership vehicle. Zille was wrong to not acknowledge that.
- Primedia (which owns 974 & other media assets) was founded by & is Jewish-owned, so Anele has to tread carefully in her utterings. I mean, Kaya FM just fired Sol Phenduka for rubbish reasons linked to MacG's views on Minnie Dlamini. Be careful when you upset your employer, who has biased agendas.
I'll end here. Go watch the interview if you haven't. Happy to hear your thoughts, whether you agree or disagree with me.
I'm making peace with the racism in SA. It won't end. Sadly, White racists are rich & Black racists are poor. And the middle class gets fucked, regardless of race.
The Black Pen ✌🏽😘
