Six years ago today…A dead battery, a longboard, a bottle of cran-raspberry, and Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams.” That’s all it took. No bit, no brand deal, just a morning commute that made a hard year feel lighter. Mick Fleetwood got on a board for it. The song charted again. People are still riding that same stretch of road in their heads.
Still vibing with you, Dogg. Aho.
FSU fans cannot get their heads around the idea that the upper divisions of both B1G and SEC don’t want to share success, which is finite, with an NC caliber program like FSU. And aside from that, if you net the additional revenue from FSU’s inclusion against the increased recruiting spending that FSU and its geography would impose on others if it was a P2 peer, the nominal monetary gain (if any) is modest. FSU being left to wither on the ACC vine has always been an extremely plausible outcome as ESPN and FOX, which are frenemies, horse trade larger issues. And that’s why FSU and the rest of the P-rest should be collectively fighting the P2 and their business partner networks that have unilaterally made CFB an anti-competitive JOKE.
@flasportsbuzz Then why didn’t the join the lawsuit fight with FSU and Clemson? Convenient to complain now after the battle has been fought and did nothing
This is slop. Your favorite team has 20 transfers in/out every year. USC-Rutgers and Clemson-Cal are both conference games. Playoff teams with 3 losses. TV broadcast is 70% gambling ads. College Gameday has Pat McAfee interviewing Ted Cruz. Even Herbstreit’s weird now.
Game gone
A few things impacting this:
— Fans no longer invested in players who only spend 6-9 months at a program then leave
— HS recruiting isn’t anywhere close to intriguing as it was in the past
— 12 team playoff doesn’t make regular games as important
— Out of conference matchups dwindling away
— ESPN being a full mouthpiece for the SEC
