I have a secret to share
After your first $2–$3 million, a paid off home and a good car, there is no difference in quality of life between you and Jeff Bezos. Both of you have limited amount of time on earth; you have twice if not more than Jeff, so you are richer than him. A cheeseburger is a cheeseburger whether a billionaire eats or you do.
Money is nothing but a piece of paper or a number in your app. Real life is outdoors.
Become financially independent; that’s usually 2–3mil. Have good food. Enjoy the relations. Workout. Sleep well. Call your parents. That’s all there is to life. Greed has no end.
Repeat after me: Time is the currency of life. Money is not.
Sooner you figure this out, happier you will be.
Just seen this video and some of the reactions to it.
He isn’t even saying “Oil isn’t expensive at $120” the way Nairametrics have written this caption. He has presented enough data and evidence to support that oil has been underpriced for a while, and expecting it to return to $60-$70 range when the energy demand structure has change globally, is unrealistic. But people just want to drag for the sake of dragging. No wahala.
In any sort of analysis at all, Samson is rarely wrong. If you like, listen to him. If you like, don’t.
There’s so much to unpack in that Asake doc Korty made. She is a genius and truly one of the most remarkable storytellers of our time.
The one thing that stood out for me was his rebellion against reason and stubbornly insisting on his own path in life even when his parents wanted differently for him.
I know his story is that of an outlier, but Life gives no certainty to anyone. In the end, the most courageous thing you can do is to take a chance on your self and answer the question of who you want to become with your own life.
You can feel his quiet conviction and deep sense of providence that somehow everything would work out. And It did.
Please watch that doc if you haven’t, but more importantly fight for your place in the world. We only get to do this life ting once.
VIDEO NEWS: It's important that, from the public sector perspective, when we have a budget, we need to ensure that there is funding behind it, and we need to ensure that there are releases so that we can execute 100%.
- Taiwo Oyedele, Minister of State for Finance-designate, reiterates the need for the speedy release of funds for the execution of projects.
You do not have unlimited time.
Your death will come on an ordinary day, in the middle of unfinished plans, and the world will continue on without you.
