The Massachusetts Bay Colony passed the first law in the New World requiring that children be taught to read and write 382 years ago today, setting the stage for universal, free, compulsory public-school education in Massachusetts.
Now that Twitter is X, it has doubts about the legitimacy of my personhood.
I might have been a person at one point, but do I still reliably exhibit person-like behaviors? Does the state persist? I'm not sure I'm going to be able to convince the necessary authorities.
The current anti-abortion conversation makes my heart run cold with horror. It is a slap in the face of fertile females everywhere. Your bodies are ours, it seems to say. Rejoice that you will bear children for our cause or die for it. Or both!

Thankfully, @Twitter and Facebook have helpful algorithms that pointed me in the direction of *real* experts who helped me round out my thinking.
