"Raising productivity" or"Improving productivity" seems to be a focus in the coming election. Would love to know what they mean by this and what their role in it is.
@ShawnDevDedalus There are about four stages people go through on X before they become that way. Realizing the amount of people on X with mental health issues is the first stage. It won't be long now.
@DrewPavlou I know a guy who was attacked by three guys in the street, two were bigger than him. He knocked one out and proceeded to tire the other two without using much force because he was a resident at the time and didn't want to get kicked out. Dude never once bragged about it.
Avoid decisions that would unreasonably strip your business autonomy. Product and services that do this are nearly always headaches. Keep your options open. Unfortunately, in NZ, this is sometimes unavoidable and by design due to policy and industry standards - mates of mates.
Before committing to a new system, I want to know how we would get our information back out.
Contacts. Documents. Work we have paid for.
Easy to put in is only half the job.
Anyway there is always a story behind the story. My take is that businesses faced with cash flow pressures can easily make mistakes on matters that are usually quite straightforward.
Thoughts herebaround what was happening in the background? The law firm lost a vital employee due to internal problems which negatively impacted income. The new employee was now seen as another problem that arose from the failure of the previous arrangement.
@mwfowlie@DanielW_Kiwi I agree, it would cost more. The problem that we have now is that no company can afford to hire one of these people if they fail a drug test. These people are inadvertently incentivised to fail their drug tests so they can remain in welfare. Something has to change I guess
@mwfowlie@DanielW_Kiwi The tolerance of drug use to avoid other crime is left leaning politics. It would be more expensive to run a drug testing program for welfare
@mwfowlie@DanielW_Kiwi This is like rewarding a child for bad behavior because they may do something worse. It's lefty logic and lacks accountability in favour of kindness.
@doctor_rahmeh@grok This is cowardice from Saudi Arabia. If this person was from America, they would not execute him.
Drawing comparisons to insults against Jesus doesn't make execution for blasphemy suddenly normal. Christians don't support this at all.
You'd swear New Zealand invented rugby, the way they carry on.
Why don't they just do what Ireland, Australia and the USA did?
The Kiwis should create their own sport and base it off rugby but without scrums, forward passes and knock ons.
Call it Kiwi Ball or Kiwi Rules
@PieterVand37940 From what is available online, residential properties in South Africa seem to have pretty good returns on them. If they do sort their crap out in SA in the next 10 years it will be an amazing place to invest.
