Fitting ending to a fabulous #SfDBT2020 with Maggie Stanton’s workshop on endings in #DBT - End from the start & honour the real relationship between client & therapist. Endings are an opportunity for healing & change in relationship patterns too.

#SfDBT2020 conference is off to a lovely start. Despite being physically apart this year, beginning our day with a #mindfulness exercise focusing on our connection to each other felt like a warm foundation for learning together 🙏🏽 @SfDBT
Great to come together as a #DBT team and with the wider DBT community as part of @SfDBT conference online. Lots of learning, sharing of knowledge and ideas to apply to our practice 👏 #sfdbt2020#camhs@HPFT_NHS
Fantastic #SfDBT2020 keynote from Charlie @SwensonDBT, making clear that #DBT was born out of clients being stuck in pain and in desperate need of change. Stuckness is perfectly normal, change isn’t easy, and we can work through it with a strong relationship in DBT.

“If nature hadn’t equipped us with loneliness, humans would have died out!
Most people think #loneliness means ‘I’m a sad loser’, but it really means you’re a sociable human like everyone else.”
Wonderful wisdom on the gift of loneliness from Christine Dunkley #SfDBT2020@SfDBT
Really enjoying the @SfDBT annual conference so far! So fortunate that despite difficult times we can connect in some way and share some fabulous and inspiring ways of working to support 🙏🏻 #sfdbt2020
