Watched #Balan and I’m still processing it. After Manjummel Boys, the choice to do a film like this, says everything about what @chidaakasham & his team wanted to give us. This film is another gem from the Malayalam industry. Huge respect to the director for going with this unique story by #JithuMadhavan & the highlight is trusting an almost all debutant cast (Farzana Palathingal, the two boys Adhiseshan KR & Muhammed Zinan with a brilliant @ttovino as Abbas) & pulling off such an unpredictable film. Every craft shone… acting, screenplay, cinematography, music, art & sound... Genuinely overwhelming. Watching these newcomers act made me feel like I need to brush up on my own skills.

#Patriot ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) – Satisfied 👍
Despite its 3-hour runtime, the film remains immersively engaging throughout. A complete Mahesh Narayanan-forte film, it fully reflects his world and vision. He delivers an essentially superb 👌 political movie with relatable, informative, and thought-provoking content. The film strongly addresses the risks of privacy invasion, and its message lands with impact. Though it’s a big-canvas, star-studded project, the content takes frontier with each star ⭐️ given a tailor-made character in which they excel 👌💥

#Mammootty shines in a superb protagonist role as usual his humour, wit, and performance stand out throughout. #FahadhFaasil delivers brilliantly in his forte as a villain; his performance continues to be nothing short of insane 🔥🔥🔥. #Lalettan appears in an extended cameo in the 2nd half, providing strong fan-service moments 💥💥💥. The action sequences are excellent 👌, especially the final stretch 🥲. It’s an unexpected, shocking role from #Mohanlal, but he carries it with ease and powerful screen presence. Watching the two Big M’s of Mollywood come together 🤝 is truly a historic and exhilarating cinematic moment their combination scenes is pure epic sequences on screen.

After a long time, despite minimal presence, it’s refreshing to see #Nayanthara in a powerful, character-driven role. #RajivMenon is an interesting choice as the villain.
Meanwhile, #KunchackoBoban, #Darshana, and every other character deliver strong performances. Each role is well-written with layered characterizations.

The screenplay is filled with several engaging twists. The pre-climax emotional conversation between FaFa, Mammootty, Rajiv Menon, and Kunchacko Boban stands out as one of true “THIS IS CINEMA” 🫶 moments for me this year. It once again highlights why Mahesh Narayanan is here to stay in Indian cinema he boldly explores controversial, real, relatable, and emotionally connecting themes that require immense courage and guts.

Complete grandeur making throughout each and every sequence feels larger than life, and it’s relishing to see how Mollywood has come this far.
