@SonicMovieStuff Knuckles, like Shadow, are both GOOD Guys, who need more screentime than a Villain Character (like Metal Sonic) to help get the Audience to sympathize with them & set them up for their Redemption since they will both eventually join the side of Good.
@SonicMovieStuff SM3 was also Knuckles' Debut Film
Major reason for disagreeing is that Metal Sonic is a "100% Villain Character," isn't a more popular character than Amy, nor is it like Amy isn't being played by a Celebrity, so there's no reason for Amy to be treated like how Tails was in SM2
@SonicMovieStuff How this does relate to THIS Topic?
If anything, Shadow's involvement in SM4 will have nothing to do with whether or not Amy gets treated like how Tails was in SM2.
@SonicMovieStuff It's not like it's going to be like Sonic Heroes where Shadow made his own Friend Group/Family/Team, so his Minimal Role felt like it added to the Growth of Shadow's Character & didn't make Shadow "just another one of Sonic's Friends."
@SonicMovieStuff AGREED. As of now, I can't think of HOW Shadow is going to be in SM4 without it being 'possibly' detrimental to his character in some way.
At best, it 'might' be that it'll feel like Shadow was forced in SM4 just for "Ticket Sales."
@SteamDroid_fmg Batman The Animated Series is aimed towards Kids. All the Age Rating means is what "level of graphic violence and/or crude language" is allowed. And YES, SA2 is Rated "E for Everyone" rather than some kind of "Preschool Game."
@SteamDroid_fmg The only thing I don't understand in this "It's for Kids Argument" is even in Age Ratings Systems, there's a distinction made between "YOUNGER Kids" & "OLDER Kids."
I always thought the Sonic IP was generally more towards "All Ages" than "Preschoolers":

@Justin61894350 Sad that "Jump the Shark-ish" is just being MORE accurate to the SOURCE MATERIAL.๐
SM4 is definitely going to be a "turning point" for the Movie Franchise, for better or for worse.
(I just know, no matter what, I'm still going to favor SM3 for being Shadow's Intro Story.)
@LocalYapTV Storyโs the most important to me & the Gameplay wouldnโt have changed the Story, but I agree that it shouldโve been added to add more Gameplay Value to the Game.
Btw, in Sonic โ06, Gameplay doesnโt change Sonic losing to Silver & Silver tying with Shadow.
@MeganHarp15@jondrawz I don't think the Writers for the Movies are that good. I've always had Mixed Feelings of the Movies because of this (and the fact it's Live Action/CGI & not Fully Animated.).
@MeganHarp15@jondrawz SM3 is rated PG (Parental Guidance), not G (General Audience), but I don't believe it's an Age Rating issue, but a Writing issue.
I think most Disney Animated Movies pull off better balanced Stories than the Sonic Movies (Ex: Lion King, Tarzan, Mulan, Hunchback of Notre Dame).
@Purpl3P0tat0@nenemyun It's certainly the same Renders we've seen a billion times, that's for sure!๐ซช
And I thought only Japan liked Hot Dogs on their pizza (Code Geass).๐ฌ๐
@jondrawz Him being alive is not what bothered me, what did is that he was turned into a Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain with next to no redeemable qualities. Game Gerald gets executed by firing squad & you FEEL bad for the โBad Guyโ about it.
The way Movie Gerald dies is a throwaway GAG
@sonicstarrr Maybe for the Movies, unfortunately (We wonโt know for sure how Shadow & Sonicโs relationship is done until SM4 comes out.), but I donโt think thatโs true according to the Amy PV:
