🇮🇱 The IDF's top West Bank commander has admitted in a closed forum that soldiers apply different rules of engagement to Palestinians and Jewish settlers, and he's not apologizing for it.

Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth said troops are permitted to shoot Palestinians at or below the knee to create what he calls "barrier awareness."

He said there are now "a lot of limping monuments" in Palestinian villages as a deterrent.

For Jewish stone-throwers, he said he prefers non-lethal means, citing "serious societal consequences" of shooting Israelis.

He also confirmed 42 Palestinian stone-throwers were killed in 2025 alone, and that 4,000 Palestinians are currently held in administrative detention with no Israeli equivalent.

"Yes, it involves discrimination. We're killing like we haven't killed since 1967."

There is no framework under which this is legal, and none under which it is acceptable.
