We agreed to stage a peaceful protest from my former area in Ogba to Alausa to draw the attention of the state government to the canal in the area. We have also agreed to also mention the issue of bad road from Yaya Abatan down to Babatunde street which was a major problem for people living in that axis.
On the following day that we agreed to protest, I realized that all the landlords and their children didn't come outside to join us at the scheduled point. Those of us who came out were all tenants. 😂
I just told my neighbor, who just got married that time to let us go back and stay with our families too. Na rent I come rent house here, my papa no get property for the area.
The last time I checked Google Earth, that canal is still like that.
Abdullah told @fijnigeria he heard the DPO say “You are lucky my men were not drunk, they would have shot you dead".

Remember when I was schooling in sokoto. Some guys attacked me one evening on my way back from lectures. In the middle of everything, I was panicking so much and reciting a dua. Next thing one of them used his knife to tap me and I screamed INNA LILAHI, tell me why one of them started correcting me and telling me it not okay to say it half way, that I should always say the complete dua INNALILAHI WA INNA ILAHI RAJIUN…It was not funny ATM but anytime I remind now I burst laugh.
And they also told me to hurry, they need to go pray maghrib cos they were calling prayer at the time.. They took my Nokia C1 and money then went to pray maghrib 😭😭😭😂😂😂
Congratulations Queen 😊💜
Here’s a quick, practical tip for any new car owner in Nigeria:
1. Vehicle Registration:
a. Register your vehicle promptly by visiting your state's Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO) with the necessary documents: purchase receipt/invoice, valid ID (NIN, passport, driver's license), proof of address, and passport photographs.
b. Following inspection and obtaining a roadworthiness certificate, complete registration via the FRSC portal (https://t.co/61UilTjB1c) or at your state's licensing office.
c. Ensure you receive the official number plate and vehicle license. Driving an unregistered vehicle violates the FRSC Act and the National Road Traffic Regulations.
2. Insurance Requirement:
a. Acquire at least third-party insurance as mandated by the Insurance Act. It protects against fines, vehicle impoundment, or full liability in accidents.
b. Prices range between ₦7,000 and ₦15,000 annually; consider comprehensive insurance for new or expensive cars for better coverage.
3. Proof of Ownership:
a. Obtain the Proof of Ownership document during registration, which legally proves the vehicle belongs to you. It will include details like the VIN, engine number, and registration plate.
4. Required Car Documents:
a. Always keep these documents in your car: driver's license, insurance certificate, vehicle license, proof of ownership, and roadworthiness certificate, as they are often checked by FRSC, VIO, or police.
5. Essential Items for Your Vehicle:
a. Equip your car with essential safety items like a fire extinguisher, warning triangle, spare tire, jack, wheel spanner, and a first aid kit. These are part of road safety compliance.
Pro Tip: If you purchase a new car locally, the dealership may assist with initial registration. Avoid using unauthorized agents to prevent issues with fraudulent plates or documents.
Congrats again on your new ride. Drive safely and responsibly!
Nobody should celebrate the senate's adoption of e-transmission of results as long as lawmakers continue clinging onto manual collation as "backup". It's a scam.
Manual collation has to be erased.
First choice must be electronic and backup must be electronic. Only then would we have made one giant leap towards making every vote count in 2027.
That Nigerian desperation to laugh when nothing is funny is what will finally kill you people.
Delusional escapists trying to use laughter the way a drug addict uses cocaine.
Don't take anything seriously. Just keep on laughing until the day you laugh no more.
Weirdos.
Good on paper, hard to implement, not because they are impossible , but because there’s no sincerity and truth in the land even among those at the supreme affairs.
Sheikh Adam worked tirelessly for this unity, his efforts were frustrated, same with his Khaleepha. sheikh Adam documented these efforts in his book الصوم والفطر and أشعة العقول, He repeated one thing several times, “No sincerity”, yesterday, Mudeerul markaz narrated his efforts and experiences in trying to create the same unity, you can only feel sorry for him too.
Apparently, many so called “Muslim scholars and leaders “ in Nigeria don’t want The unity to happen, ironically ,the people who are sabotaging these noble efforts are the ones who call for unity the loudest.
What a ummah, same everywhere, Arab world and non-Arab world, no Unity.

Isn’t it funny how you’ve been on Twitter since 2014 and never once in your life had your plane suspended mid-air for 3 weeks or been unconscious for 10 months after an auto-crash… until last month when Don Jazzy sent you ₦20 million for OUR laptop money??
See Ayilala, in everything you do, alaye. You must not die o, cause you must deliver those laptops!
Mr Commissioner, you are playing a game of deflection. You’re trying so hard to confuse the administrative process (securing visas) with the financial absurdity (using public funds as a loan) being perpetuated here. While the State Pilgrims Welfare Board acts as the necessary administrative intermediary to secure visa slots from NAHCON, that role does not license the government to turn the public treasury into a bank for religious tourism. Acting as a service provider means processing applications; it does not mean taking billions from state coffers to pay for slots upfront. When the state pays for these slots with public money and expects repayment, it moves from being a regulator to being a lender. The issue is about why the state acts as a creditor for a religious ritual requiring financial independence, not who processes the passport.
Again, your claim that the government must be the intermediary regardless of wealth is factually misleading. You ignore the existence of Private Tour Operators licensed by NAHCON, which wealthy Nigerians use to avoid state bureaucracy. Your claim that the government is the only route is an attempt to make the State’s financial intervention look inevitable when it is actually a choice - a bad one for that matter.
The government’s job is to secure the quota, but the pilgrim’s job is to bring the money. If the government must pay first because pilgrims are not ready, those pilgrims lack Istita'ah (capability). You are answering a question about logistics to hide the error in your economics.

Malik, you are not talking to a rookie here.
The state is buying Hajj slots with the intention of reselling them through the State Hajj Commission. But what happens if the commission is unable to sell these slots, even at a subsidised price of N5m?
The implication is obvious: the state would end up sponsoring people to perform Hajj free of charge. And that is without me even getting into the issue of the underlying fraud.
So, as State Budget Commissioner, instead of using the increased FAAC allocations to improve the welfare of citizens, you believe the priority should be spending taxpayers’ money to sponsor people to perform an act of worship that is obligatory?
This is a state with over one million out of school children. Do you know how bad it is for a state to have one million children not in school?
A state with less than 50% budget performance in 2025.
A state struggling to protect the lives and property of its people.
A state ranked among the poorest in the entire NW region, with multidimensional poverty estimated at between 82.2% and 86.0%.
Is this really where scarce public resources should be going?
