We strongly condemn Mohammad Younis' illicit marriage to a minor, Samreen, daughter of Hammal, a resident of Gresha. Following a press conference and a complaint from Bisran Bibi, Samreen's mother, alleging that M. Younis forcibly married her underage daughter, an independent investigation revealed Samreen's birthdate as 2nd May 2008, supported by received documents. However, M. Younis produced a false birth certificate claiming Samreen was born in 2003, a year before their parents' marriage. This act constitutes a violation of the Child Marriage Restraint Act 2018. We urge an impartial investigation into the marriage and seek justice for the family and the minor girl. Additionally, we call upon the police and administration to collaborate with the family and hold M. Younis accountable.
