@pinkgoldsqrpxls Can we just let our black people be as they are without us giving them these racist caricatures. Yas a mammy and lynx a house slave… are you okay wtf?
@centreleftrebel@ryxgeorge Micro aggressions are based on people’s actions and words. You’re the one who decided to minimise it to ”you’re allowed to dislike a black person”. But such is life, some only care for what concern them directly. Enjoy yourself, babe.
@centreleftrebel@ryxgeorge I don’t know what you’re even trying to say here. But next time you suggest someone is homophobic on this show just remember you used ”woke bs” ”people are born to be victims” when it was about racism. We shall see if that is the real discrimination and priority you talked about
@centreleftrebel@ryxgeorge Woke is to be aware of social injustice and discrimination. But now you use it as an insult because of right wing hijack. We should all strive to be more woke. Also with all due respect you don’t get to decide for black people if micro aggression is a priority.
@ryxgeorge Because what we’ve noticed in shows like this is that you’re only afforded to be a lynx (palatable) but never a johanne (confrontational). But a Rochelle who has similar behaviour can be one of the favourites to win the show. But maybe we are the dumb ones to notice undertones….
@ryxgeorge There’s nothing wrong with black viewers and black cast to discuss their experiences in social experiments like BB. I don’t see why that needs to be shunned by you and others. Shutting down discourse because it might make you uncomfortable is bizarre.
My constant thought is “I wish Beyoncé made a photo book of all her tour outfits with stories of, what, who and how’s.” Cause I genuinely would purchase and make it into a family heirloom.
23 years ago today in Gaza, British photographer Tom Hurndall was shot in the head by an Israeli sniper while trying to protect Palestinian children.
Humanity will never forget him
The romance genre is probably the most boring book genre there is. Same plot across the board, underdeveloped and extremely one dimensional characters, and the writing is so simple and uninspiring that I always regret picking one up.
Isn’t it interesting how the subject of love is often captured poorly in movies and books, but songs and poetry get them well so often, I wonder why? In my opinion of course.
The world is so noisy. If not all the electronic making noise, it’s your own eardrums making some noise. I need to experience complete silence for once in this world!
