Hazrat Mirza Bashir Ahmad(ra) asked his mother if Huzoor(as) would offer nafli [supererogatory] fasts in his later years, to which she said, "Even in his later days Huzoor(as) would observe nafli fasts, especially the six fasts of Shawal which he would offer religiously. If ever he needed to pray for something exceptional, he would fast. However, in the last two or three years of his life, the Promised Messiah(as) could not fast even in Ramadan, due to weakness and frailty." Hazrat Mirza Bashir Ahmad(ra) added that the Promised Messiah(as) mentioned in his book Kitab-ul-Bariyya that he fasted for a period of eight to nine months consecutively.

After days of devotion, prayer, and seclusion for the sake of Allah, this blessed meeting became a beautiful conclusion to their I‘tikaf — filled with peace, gratitude, and spiritual joy.

Beloved Huzoor (aba) also graciously inspected the Langar arrangements, reflecting his care for every aspect of service and sacrifice.

A moment that serves as a reminder of Allah’s endless favours and the beauty of a life devoted to Him.
