Institutions derive their legitimacy from public trust, and that trust depends on fairness, accountability, and equal treatment under the law—not on selective or inconsistent application of rules.

The strength of a constitutional republic is measured not by how efficiently it exercises power, but by how carefully it safeguards the rights and dignity of every individual, especially when mistakes occur. Protecting civil liberties, ensuring prompt remedies, and maintaining institutional neutrality are indispensable for preserving democratic legitimacy and the rule of law.
