To mark America's 250th anniversary, we are launching 50 red, white, and blue rickshaws to honor American independence and highlight the strong U.S.-Bangladesh partnership.
Eid Mubarak!
It was an honor to join the community at Jamaica Muslim Center to mark the end of Ramadan and celebrate a month of reflection, service, and togetherness. The values at the heart of Ramadan— charity, inclusion, and care— are the values that make this city strong.
I can’t say enough good things about @ZohranKMamdani picking @Ali_Najmi to chair the Advisory Committee on the Judiciary. I’ve seen Ali in action as a smart, strategic, and tenacious lawyer, but more importantly he’s also a mensch.

Tonight is the first time New York State has officially recognized Muslim American Heritage Month, and we're grateful to @GovKathyHochul for this proclamation honoring the Muslim New Yorkers who help make this place what it is—from small business owners to first responders, teachers to community leaders. In celebration, City Hall is glowing green alongside 16 state landmarks across New York.
In front of a packed house at MDCNY’s End of the Year Celebration, First Deputy Mayor Dean Fuleihan asked to be adopted into @ZohranKMamdani’s first political home. And we did. Welcome home Dean.

We’re going to look with a fresh pair of eyes at city government — and what powers we have to deliver for New Yorkers.
And that’s one of many reasons I’m excited to have Lina as one of our transition’s Co-chairs.
Yesterday, Reverend Crawford and the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in the Bronx shared their profound love of this city with me.
Together, we will build a city that loves every New Yorker back.
WATCH: @JacquiHeinrich: "Why did you fly here? Aren't trains greener?"
@ZohranKMamdani: "I will use every form of transit and I want to make sure that they're all affordable in New York City, and that's why making buses fast and free is a center piece of our campaign."
President Trump: "If he flew that's a lot quicker too, in all fairness... I'll stick up for ya, the plane takes you 30 minutes and driving takes you a long time."
JUST IN: President Trump shakes hands with NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, saying, "We're going to be helping him to make everybody's dream come true, having a strong and very safe New York."
there are tears in my eyes this is so funny. I don't know what the political significance of any of this is and neither does anyone else but when I'm 90 years old I'm going to remember how much I laughed at this bizarre series of events
