Metro has relaunched its website, https://t.co/oGobGcnJQD, with a new-look, mobile-first layout designed "to supercharge search traffic".
Editor Deborah Arthurs said the redesign was built around the fact more than 90% of its audience now arrives via mobile
I can confirm. We at Metro have implemented and seen with our own eyes how you can increase page views and decrease the story count. In this day and age, more stories absolutely does not equal more page views. You have to write smarter, not harder.
Such a lovely and fitting service, reflecting David’s character all over. Thank you to @Telegraph and also the Knowles family for allowing everyone to say goodbye in this way wherever they were. It meant a lot to have been able to tune in today.
David would have been deeply touched by the thousands of messages @Telegraph has received since his passing, from all around the world.
On Thursday we say goodbye.
His funeral will livestreamed so all can join, wherever you are. It begins at 11:15 BST:

One last thing to say. Seeing all the tributes to him, even on BBC News, has been astounding but comforting. So many people loved him. He was such a big part of my early twenties - I feel so fortunate to have been one of them https://t.co/5h6ZOcgHjN
I barely have the words. David Knowles and I had known each other since our City days and were at one point quite close. So sad and shocked to hear about his passing.
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our colleague, David Knowles.
David was a talented journalist and a much-loved friend and a colleague. He will be greatly missed.
I deeply admired the amazing work he did with the Ukraine: The Latest podcast and watched proudly as it became a success. I can only say that my thoughts are very much with all his family, friends and colleagues as I know he will be missed dearly.
Sad to see this sexist drivel on @Newsweek
“At 34, Swift remains unmarried and childless, a fact that some might argue is irrelevant to her status as a role model. But it's crucial to consider what kind of example this sets for young girls.”

Was delighted to be back at @cityjournalism speaking to students about product and its growing importance to the journalism industry last week. And yes, Taylor Swift featured heavily 😎
In the least surprising news of the year, yes it was me who made @taylorswift13 Spotify's Global Top Artist of the Year #SpotifyWrapped2023
(....plus millions of other Swifties)
@SophieJade_Demi Through AXS. I had been struggling as payment kept getting declined on all my cards (think AXS is having some issues generally with that), but eventually spotted this tip about using Revolut which did it for me. It did take maybe 3-4 attempts on Revolut to work FYI
Tip for getting Taylor Swift eras resale tickets(I KNOW this sounds like an ad but it’s not 😭 I didn’t even like the app that much I just thought I’d try it bc it’s the only other bank card I have and it worked 😭)I’m just mad AXS didn’t tell us the issue & I found out this way
Genuinely didn’t think I’d get to do a tweet like this… but I WON THE RESALE GREAT WAR! I am seeing Taylor Swift next year ahhhh! 😍🙏✨#TaylorSwiftErasTour
