If you make it so the ENTIRE game is ACTUALLY in 2D-HD, sure.

NOT 2D sprites and THEN THE REST OF THE GAME IS IN 3D GRAPHICS. Looking at Adventures of Eillot and the Dragon Quest remakes... Sure they still look good but that's not what I envisioned when 2D-HD came about.
