A 65-year-old woman was seriously injured after being attacked by a wild boar in Sumadi village of Rudraprayag district on Monday.
According to reports, Kamla Devi, a resident of Sumadi, had gone out to collect fodder when a wild boar suddenly attacked her. The force of the attack threw her onto the road, leaving her with serious injuries.
Hearing her cries for help, passing motorcyclists rushed to the spot, drove the animal away and shifted her to the local hospital. However, due to the absence of a surgeon and the unavailability of essential medicines at the district hospital, she was given primary treatment and referred to Srinagar Medical College, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
