Except there is a massive distinction, you idiot(s).

“Socialism” not the default end state of left-wing Democrats. “Social Democrats” push the social and economic policy as far left as they can while still maintaining a free market structure with private investment.

“Democratic Socialists” have it as a goal to ultimately abandon the free market system in favor of some worker-owned one where private enterprise is illegal because they view capitalism as being inherently incapable of delivering economic equity.
