Bloober Team wants to keep making physical versions of its games for as long as possible.
CEO Piotr Babieno said digital is easier, cheaper, and more profitable, but physical copies create an “emotional connection” between players, the game, and the studio.
He said the physical element of gaming will always be there, even as higher resolution and lighting stop making games more engaging and most players still use five-to-seven-year-old hardware.
The studio is also working on the original Silent Hill remake and a Switch 2 horror title focused on touch.
This comes as Sony plans to end new PlayStation disc production in 2028.
