@imirebirth It's unfortunate there probably were frustrations on their side bc the guys fulfilled the contract as stated & they got flack. On the flip side there were definitely sound issues for the home audience, but that's completely irrelevent once the racism, xenophobia & mocking started

BTS will embark on a full-scale South American tour by holding their world tour 'Arirang in Latin America' in Bogota, Colombia, on October 2 and 3. Meanwhile, local tourism authorities are already showing signs of excitement regarding their visit, taking measures at the local government level to prepare for a large influx of audiences and even personally promoting their performance as a major cultural and tourism attraction.

First of all, Bogotá highlighted BTS's visit as a major cultural event for the city. 'Visit Bogotá,' the official tourism website operated by the Bogotá Tourism Institute, introduced their concert as a major event and cultural occasion. Along with this, it explained, "Based on their music, large-scale performances, and strong bond with ARMY (their fandom) around the world, BTS is one of the groups representing 21st-century global pop."

La Plata, Argentina, where performances are being held on October 21 and 23–24 (local time), has joined forces with the city, provincial government, and production company to welcome a large audience. Local media outlet El Día predicted that more than 150,000 people would head to the city, based on estimates recently released by the city of La Plata. It also forecasted a significant influx of visitors from overseas, including the United States, Colombia, Chile, and Uruguay. In response, Mayor Julio Allac reportedly held working meetings with the production company and officials from the security and city control departments of Buenos Aires Province and La Plata to discuss a comprehensive operational plan. Mayor Allac stated, "We are preparing to welcome visitors in the best possible way so they can enjoy this world-class event."

At its regular meeting held last July, the La Plata City Council unanimously passed a motion to designate BTS as "Honorary Guests" (Huésped de Honor). Under the ordinances of La Plata, "Honorary Guests" is the highest level of official courtesy awarded to distinguished guests visiting the city or global figures in the arts and culture world. The City Council cited the seven members' cultural influence, the promotion of youth rights, and their participation in international cultural activities as the reasons for their selection.

Chile introduced BTS's Santiago concert as a major event in the 'Festivals and Events - Culture & Heritage' category through its official tourism promotion site, Chile Travel. Chile Travel highlighted, "A global K-pop craze is landing in Chile. With the return of BTS, Santiago will transform into a global hub for K-pop."
