Is Labor racially profiling?

Tonight, several people and I were denied entry to Box Hill town hall where Dan Andrews was scheduled to speak - despite having valid tickets.

I happened to notice that those who were denied entry, with very few exceptions, were White Australians.

I also know for a fact (because my Chinese Australian friends were granted admission) that event staff were indeed allowing-in people who had not booked tickets in advance, if they happened to be of East Asian appearance.

Why the double standard?

The only rational conclusion I see is that Labor engaged in racial profiling.

You might think I am making this up, but I am not. I saw it with my own eyes. If I am wrong, Labor is welcome to set the record straight.

#BreakingNews ... Mocking Our Heroes: Premier and Police Minister Smirk as The Last Post Falls Silent

Funding for The Last Post at the Shrine of Remembrance on Sunday mornings is being cut. Organisers need $75,000 annually, but the Shrine can no longer afford it.

But when questioned by a journalist—who laughed at the decision—a smirking Jacinta Allan together with Police Minister Anthony Carbines, both recently hit with a no-confidence vote in Werribee, dismissed concerns.

With a hint of humour in her tone, Jacinta Allan responded, "As someone very fond of brass instruments and buglers, I will ensure this is followed up."

This isn't good enough.

A Premier and Minister have no right to mock and disrespect veterans and the traditions that remind Australians that without their sacrifice, we might not be a free and democratic nation.

If Victoria is so short on funds, perhaps Allan could cancel the planned statue of disgraced former Premier Daniel Andrews and redirect the $100,000+ it is estimated to cost—plus arguably twice that amount towards likely ongoing repairs—toward the Shrine.

That’s money already better spent.
