Trying to justify a war by the 'provocation' excuse? 🤦
He still doesn't understand that the war is driven by Putin wish to augment his power and that of his regime in combination with Russian imperialism.

Ukraine is ready to return Crimea through diplomacy, Zelenskyy said in an interview with Fox News.
"We cannot waste tens of thousands of our people dying for the return of Crimea..."
We shouldn't be afraid of Russia ☢️🇷🇺☢️
What many failed to understand is that Putin is not crazy nor stupid. He is even quite clever.
He understood we are weak. He understood we are afraid by his power. We shouldn't.

IS A PEACE DEAL BETWEEN #UKRAINE AND #RUSSIA A SOLUTION ? 🧵
Ukraine and Russia are at war. Without understand the cause and driving force, one may chose for a wrong way to “solve” it, aim for a solution that solves nothing and even risks supporting the wrong camp. ⬇️
.@avalaina: For Russia and Putin himself, Ukraine is not a goal; Ukraine is just a tool.
Putin attempts to convince the entire world that democracy, the rule of law, human rights, and freedom are fake values, she tells @JulieNBCNews at an #ACFrontPage conversation.
⚡️ NATO Chief Rutte: "In the future NATO will have as a 33rd or 34th we will have Ukraine (...) Ukraine will be a member of NATO in the future, that's what we decided in Washington."

"This cannot continue. If Putin does not stop bombing civilians in Ukraine within 24 hours, then Germany must send Taurus missiles to destroy the supply routes this regime is using to harm Ukraine’s civilian population!"
Germany's opposition leader Friedrich Merz, calls for a 24-hour ultimatum to Russia to stop bombing civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.
For a better understanding of how "peace treaties" with Russia go, here's Russia in 1997 signing a treaty with Chechnya after Russia's failed invasion killed from 50,000-100,000 people there.
Two years after they had re-armed, Russia disgarded this treaty, AGAIN invaded, killing another 100,000, including all the Chechen leadership as well as razing much of the country to the ground.
This is the Russian peace that many discuss forcing onto Ukraine.

Before Russians murdered him, the President of Chechnya, Dudaev explained that Russia uses treaties as a military tool, signing when they're in trouble, giving time to re-arm, then returning to kill everyone and erase the cities.
"This is Russia, an empire of evil"
Putin is spending $140bn while we struggle to promise fifty. We are basically sending him the message "We won't stop you", so he won't stop.
But if we allocated $800bn, he would be forced to rethink. Yes, we could afford it. And yes, it would be cheaper than letting him carry on.
