What did Biden do wrong? Let’s bring in our panel: six ex-generals who sit on the boards of military contractors, three Trump officials whose only prior experience was writing “HILARY 4 PRISEN” in YouTube comments, and Mike Flynn Jr.’s Fortnite team. Gentlemen, thank you for your
The shortest increment of measurable time will be the gap between when the media stops accusing Biden of evacuating too few people from Afghanistan and starts accusing him of evacuating too many.
It's astonishing how every issue with the Afghanistan withdrawal is under a microscope when the war itself didn't get 1/10th the scrutiny. Selective emphasis is how consent is manufactured.
This is such an important point. They didn’t give a shit about the Afghan people who were being killed year after year. They also almost never showed you the horrific famine images in Yemen created by US backed Saudi Arabia or any other number of atrocities.
To recap, we spent over $2 trillion on an unwinnable war in a country that fell the instant we left but we "can't afford" to protect Americans from death by giving them affordable health care.
US elites are melting down over Afghanistan because they don't like being humiliated. They see this defeat as a destabilizing threat to their own legitimacy at home & won't forgive Biden until he gives them a new war, which he almost surely will. Dangerous times ahead for all.
the lesson learned from afghanistan shouldn’t be that america must have permanent occupation, but to never involve itself w/ destabilization efforts to begin w/ if it truly cares about the welfare of people in the middle east.
Our twenty years of war propping up a corrupt government with no local support only served to make the Taliban stronger. Every US president has lied about this now obvious fact.
